An article by Carter Professor of Mathematics Fernando Gouvêa, "Was Cantor Surprised?" will be included in Best Writing in Mathematics 2012, to be published in November by Princeton University Press.

Sadoff's "Self-Portrait" Chosen as Poem of the Day

 "Self-Portrait," a poem by Ira Sadoff (English) was selected by the Academy of American Poets as the www.poets.org poem of the day May 21. Other poets featured in May included Whitman, Rossetti, and Lowell. "Self-Portrait" is from Sadoff's new collection, True Faith.
