On Sunday, September 28th at 4 p.m. in Ostrove Auditorium a panel of esteemed local, national, and international journalists discussed the role they play in providing a voice to those who are neglected by society.

Panelists included: Anne Hull, 2008 Lovejoy Award recipient and Washington Post reporter; David Shribman, Lovejoy Selection Committee and Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Editor; Afsan Chowdhury, 2008 Oak Fellow; and Naomi Schalit, Editorial Page Editor, Morning Sentinel and Kennebec Journal. The panel was moderated by Ann Marie Lipinski, chair, Lovejoy Selection Committee and Vice President for Civic Engagement at University of Chicago.
