Changing Sexes

It feels different with a man
than with a woman,
Like watching the race from a distance:
a fascination with the chassy,
mindless of the interior.

I felt no pain; I only wonder
What happens after you finally
Experience Something
that you've been expecting

and it's not what you thought it would be?

Being with a man is unlike
being with a woman.
It feels vague and foreign;
the engine purrs a little differently,
with a thankless ignition.

I would never let you see
That it wasn't what I thought it would be.
