ES Lunchtime Talk: Launching a Sustainable Consumer Product Company

Join the ES Program on Wednesday, January 22nd at noon in Dana-002 for an entrepreneurial lunch talk with alumnus Luke Penney ’97. Luke Penney ’97 is the founder of LEAP Organics (Cambridge, MA), one of the first soap and skincare companies to be both certified organic and a certified B Corp, as well as cruelty-free and a member of 1% For The Planet. Penney has developed and brought to market over 40 products that have been sold at Whole Foods Markets, MOMs Organic Markets, New Seasons, and hundreds of other natural retailers around the country. Penney’s talk will focus on the steps one would take to create your own sustainable consumer product company, the sustainable certification processes, and the challenges and opportunities he sees in the marketplace today.
