Photography I for first-year students

If you are a first-year student and have a deep interest in studying photography at Colby, this is your chance. There are two spots left for first-year students who can convince me in 250 words or less of their serious interest in photography and the commitment to study it in depth over the course of their Colby career. Please email me at ggreen@colby.edu why you would like one of the two spots. This iteration will be taught remotely and will involve both digital and analog photography including early photographic processes (This course will also provide the prerequisite for Photo II in the Spring). You must be on campus to take the course as materials will be provided locally and, if it becomes possible to teach in person as the semester goes on, the transition will be smooth. The course runs Tuesday and Thursday from 11:00 – 12:50 so you must have that time slot free. Other work and meetings will be done asynchronously. This is usually a very difficult course to enroll in so this is your chance to get in early and follow your dreams of studying photography at Colby.
