On Wednesday November 13th, the Alfond Youth and Community Center is hosting a free community Thanksgiving dinner. They could really use some Colby student volunteers, mostly to help guide people but also for other tasks. Hour-long shifts start at 4 pm at the AYCC and run until 6:30. Contact Bronya Lechtman if interested (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Food For Thought, the Colby civic engagement project, is hoping to raise funds to help support this event. Just a few dollars provides a full hot Thanksgiving meal for several families. Food For Thought will be soliciting donations in Pulver on Mon Nov 11 and Tues Nov 12 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and you can also leave donations with Bronya Lechtman (email@example.com) or Gail Carlson (firstname.lastname@example.org, office Diamond 110A).
