Colby’s EC479: Auctions class is organizing a charity auction to raise funds for the Waterville schools’ food pantries, which supplies children in need with food for weekends and vacations, and to create a lunch fund at the superintendent’s office that would allow the school to cover lunch costs for children of families who just miss qualifying for assistance. These programs offer assistance in a discreet way for children and families who are food insecure. We will be auctioning off items purchased with some grant money, but are looking to complement our purchases with donations of physical items or experiences that you, your team, or your clubs might be able to offer. For example, in the past Colby community members have offered language, music, or cooking lessons, experiences with some of Colby’s sporting teams or athletes, artwork, and more!
