Dawn Rossignol Memorial Scholarship 2007-08 through IFSA-Butler



IFSA-Butler is once again offering the Dawn Rossignol Memorial Scholarship to a Colby College student for study abroad in Australia through IFSA-Butler during the 2007-2008 academic year. The award is available in the amount of $3500 and will be granted to one individual for either semester of the upcoming academic year. Applicants should review the following eligibility requirements, selection criteria, and application procedure. Please note that *any student who meets the ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS may apply*. The selection criteria listed below will be used to consider the applications and should not be regarded as "eligibility requirements". Complete applications are due to the Office of Off-Campus Study by March 15, 2007 for study during either the fall semester 2007 or the spring semester 2008. Eligibility requirements:

  • Program: Australia

  • Area of study: Biology/Natural sciences

  • Minimum 2.7 GPA


    Selection criteria:

  • Demonstration of eligibility requirements

  • First consideration to Maine residents

  • First consideration to women students

  • Relevance of program to academic major and post-graduate plans

  • Financial need


    Application procedure:

    Submit completed OCS program approval form ("blue form") to the Office of Off-Campus Study by March 15, 2007.

    Submit personal essay addressing relevance of chosen study abroad program to academic major and post-graduate educational or career plans to the Office of Off-Campus Study by Thursday, March 15, 2007.
