Payment/myColby questions:

What is myColby?

The myColby portal is a key resource of information and transactional services for parents, but students must first allow their parents access to their myColby page. With this permission, parents can access the parent pages of the myColby portal.

The myColby portal allows students to access their academic and financial records and student employment information, to submit applications for financial aid, and to load funds onto their ColbyCard. Students also use the myColby portal to register for classes, as well as access their financial information and outstanding balance.

How students grant access to parent myColby accounts

Your student must grant you access to the myColby portal in order for you to make payments, view grades, and access personal information. Students should follow these steps to grant parent access:

  1. Log on to myColby portal (
  2. Click on finances tab (on top navigation bar)
  3. On the left sidebar, select parent permissions
  4. Select option of what personal information parents can access. Students should make the appropriate selections after consulting their parents.
  5. Enter at least one parent e-mail address (students may grant access to up to two individuals)

After the student has granted permission, an e-mail is generated and sent to the student’s Colby e-mail account in addition to the parent or guardian e-mail addresses the student has entered. This e-mail contains the login information for each parent/guardian.

Important message for incoming students: New students will be able to grant parent permission after they receive a welcome letter in mid- to late-May which includes information about parent access to the myColby portal.
