Students must grant their parents permission to access their myColby page. Once granted access, parents must log in to myColby to view student statements and billing information.
Electronic (ACH) payments
Payments from U.S. savings or checking accounts can be completed online with no fee via ACH from a secure site. This requires the bank routing number, the checking or savings account number, student name, and Colby ID number.
Due to the high cost of processing fees, the College does not accept credit cards for payment on the student account.
Domestic: If you wish to make a payment on a student account using a wire transaction from a U.S. bank account, please email us at email@example.com for detailed instructions.
International: Colby has partnered with Flywire to facilitate tuition payments for our international students with non-U.S. bank accounts.

A check from a U.S. bank account, made payable to Colby College, can also be mailed to:

Please indicate the student’s name and Colby ID number on a separate piece of paper or in the memo section of the check.
Payment by check or cash can also be made on campus in the Office of Student Financial Services, located on the first floor of the Garrison-Foster Building, Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm.

What is myColby?
The myColby portal is a key resource of information and services for parents, but students must first grant their parent(s) permission to their myColby page. With this permission, parents can access the parent pages of the myColby portal.
The myColby portal allows students to access their academic and financial records and student employment information, submit applications for financial aid, and load funds onto their ColbyCards. Students also use the myColby portal to register for classes, as well as access their financial information and outstanding balance.
How do students grant their parent(s) access to the myColby portal?
Your student must grant you permission to the myColby portal in order for you to make payments, view grades, and access personal information.
Students should follow these steps to grant their parent(s) access:
- 1. Log on to myColby portal (my.colby.edu)
- 2. Click on ‘Finances’ tab (on the top navigation bar)
- 3. On the left sidebar, select ‘Parent Permissions’
- 4. Select the what personal information you would like to grant your parent(s) permission to access. Students should make the appropriate selections after consulting their parent(s).
- 5. After the student has granted permission(s), an email is generated and sent to the student’s Colby email account in addition to the parent or guardian e-mail addresses the student has entered. This email contains the login information for the student’s parent(s)/guardian(s).
Important message for incoming students: New students will be able to grant their parent(s) permission after they receive a welcome letter in mid- to late-May including information about parent access to the myColby portal.

Forgot your password?
If you have forgotten your password, wish to change your password, or lost your myColby ID, simply send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include your name and email address, as well as your student’s name. Once your email is received, the process of getting you the corrected information is handled promptly.
If your email address has changed, please provide your student’s name, your old email address, and your new email address.
