COLBY COLLEGE ALPINE SKI
TEAM
|
| Led by coach Mark Godomsky, the alpine ski team is a small but very strong team. It is one of the very few teams that competes in Division I competitions at Colby College. Although we are a small Division III school, our team has still had much success in the past, qualifying many athletes to the NCAA Division I championships year after year. Such athletes as Warner Nickerson (U.S Ski Team member, silver medalist at Wolrd University Games, 2 time All-American), Robert Saunders (2 time All-American), Jenny Lathrop (U.S. Ski Team member, 3 time All-American) and her twin sister Abigail Lathrop (8 time All-American, Division I NCAA Champion) have given this team a name. The team practices at Sugarloaf Mountain , where this years team will be working their hardest to try to achieve accomplishments such as our previous team members. |
| On the men's side, our team welcomes back captain and only male senior Ryan Praskievicz, Division I NCAA qualifier Jody Centauro, as well as the three strong sophomores Christian Talmage, Sam Witherspoon and Sam Pelletier. Colby also welcomes three very talented freshmen to the team this year. Joshua Kernan, Corey Linton and Matt Clunan look to bring their best skills to the team for a great upcoming season. |
| On the women's side, the team returns senior Ashley Best, as well as juniors Brett Wagenheim and Alissa Consenstein and sophomore Julia Coffin, all who are looking to make their mark this upcoming season. Colby also welcomes its biggest group of women freshmen ever with Laura Littman, Ali Brandeis, Dana Breakstone, Emily Colin and Amanda Towner who will look to work their hardest add light onto the team's big loss of Abbi Lathrop due to graduation. |
