There are many different ways to involve yourself with Colby Habitat and we're always looking for more people to join the ranks. Here are a few of the ways you can help make a difference in Waterville and the surrounding areas.
Colby Habitat holds a workday almost every Saturday during the academic year except during vacation periods or when the Waterville Area HFH draws volunteers from other areas in the community. Workdays generally start at 9:00 am and end between 3:00 and 4:00 pm. To volunteer, please e-mail Drew Branden, and don't worry...No experience is necessary!
As an active organization on Colby's campus, we try to hold at least one, if not more, events each month. With that in mind, there's always a need for more creative minds to help plan new and exciting events for the campus. There are informal officer meetings every Wednesday night at 9:00 pm in the Pugh Center, so if you're interested in helping plan the year's events, please stop by and say hello.
Each academic year, we try to raise a significant amount of funds to donate to the Waterville Area HFH. As a small chapter, the Waterville Area HFH benefits greatly from the contributions made by Colby students, faculty, and family and we can always use more volunteers to help pursue these initiatives.
