The strengths of my protocol were that the figure consisted of common shapes and that the figure was rather simple. The weaknesses were that I didn't specify what size to draw the figure. Another weakness is that I did not specify that I wanted the rectangle to be inside the square, and that I wanted the rectangle to be located in the center of the base of the square
I did not use parameters. As a result, the person did not know how big to make the shapes. The drawer could have made the figure as big as the whole page or very small
When I tried my second protocol, the result was what I wanted. On my second protocol, I changed the third commad to "draw a rectangle inside the square with its shorter side touching the bottom of the square
The first director/artist task did not result in the figure I was looking for. The second one, with the adjusted protocol, did result in te figure I was looking for. The first person that I worked with used parameteris in their protocol, hwile the second person did not use parameters.
My comands were fairly sophisticated, as they assumed that the drawer knew a rectange, square, and triange. This is something that a computer might not necessarily know.
