2 - Proposed Landscape Types

The Campus Landscape Master Plan proposes a new zone of character for the land extending along the foot of the hill-side slope. This greensward (delineated in yellow) would have an informal parkland character and serves as a transitional space, linking the formal campus core to the outlying woodland and fields. The Colby Green will be the first realized expression of this new character zone. The planned bypass road, which can be seen to the north and west of the present athletic complex will remove a significant volume of through traffic from Mayflower Hill Drive.
