8 - Colby Green Bowl Diagram

This drawing represents a section, or a cut, through the center of the Green, as if you sliced the Green in half down Miller Lawn from Miller’s Front Steps. The drawing shows Mayflower Hill Drive to the left, the

embankment between the Drive and the Green, and the path around the central lawn. The central lawn is shaped into a very slight bowl which will provide a subtle feeling of gathering and holding the buildings around its edge. The slope of the bowl which is very subtle and perhaps not even apparent at first glance, will not interfere with use of the space for informal play and gathering.
