We discussed the first workshop of the semester, which will be October 6, 2002 from 2pm-4pm in Miller 14. We hope to have some committee members interested in sitting at a table in the Student Center to advertise this workshop. We'll discuss this further at the next meeting.
Brainstorm for ideas of possible Project Ally events, activities, and such this year. We also spoke of coordinating events with other interested groups on campus.
Discussion of the GLBT Task Force created this year. We would like to be available as a resource to the group. We may invite members of the Task Force to our meeting next week.
We would also like to endorse a speaker to come to campus. Emily has done some work with this project. We also would like to encourage the Pugh Community Board (PCB) to focus some of their attention (and funds) to GLBITTQ events, speakers, etc.
We would like to continue with the GLBITTQ film series this year. Be thinking of ideas for films to show and bring them to the next meeting. Button distribution. I have a ton of buttons in my room that will soon be circulated.
Look for web page updates some time this week. Let me know if their should be any changes or additions.
We also talked about being available to the surrounding community as a resource for workshops and other presentations.

We discussed the Oct. 6th workshop (which went well) and how to publicize. Emails were sent out to all interested students that signed up at the activities fair and posters were put up around campus.
The Film Series was discussed and a theme within the "What do those letters mean anyway?" idea was put on the table. We are planning on doing a GLBITTQ family theme. A theme that discovers the relationships within families that deal with GLBITTQ issues. So, the dates will be Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 7:30pm with Nick; Monday, Nov. 4th at 7:30pm with Marilyn; and Thursday, Nov. 21 at 7:30pm with Kristen. Emily, can you please see me about making up some posters? The rooms have been requested... I'll let you all know about the status later. You are in charge of picking your own video from the list that Marilyn sent us.
A new suggestion that sounded like fun was to host a midnight showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. What do you all think about that?
Stacy, can you check on the budget issue to try and get a more complete listing of our revenue and expenditures?
How about we have our next meeting on Friday, October 18 from 11:30-1:00? I'll reserve the room, but if nobody can make it, then I'll pick another time. Please RSVP.

Also, I was wondering if we could have somebody volunteer to be our secretary. Having someone to take the minutes and email them in very important. Unfortunately, Marilyn and I cannot handle all of this in a timely manner. Please help us run more smoothly.
