Veronica Romero

Student Reseach Coordinator - Member of the CRS program
Psychology Major
- Senior

I was born and grew up in Caracas (Venezuela). I am a senior at Colby College majoring in psychology and minoring in Japanese. After taking Mike’s seminar spring semester of my junior year I became interested in his research. I will not only work for him this summer, but will also do an independent study with him my senior year. Apart from perception and action I am also interested in cultural and social psychology.

Psychology Major

I’m a rising senior majoring in Economics and Psychology and minoring in Administrative Science. My academic interests have varied during my time Colby, but I’ve always enjoyed psychology classes and research. Although most of my past research focused on social psychology, last semester, I took a research seminar exploring human movement in which Veronica and I investigated the effect of different types of perceptual coupling on interpersonal coordination. This summer was a continuation of that research. When I’m not running participants, I like to play tennis, go running, and practice violin. Next year, I plan on doing independent research in psychology and economics.

I am a senior at Colby College majoring in Psychology and minoring in Administrative Science.  After taking a seminar with Mike my junior year, I became increasingly interested in Human Movement and coordination. In addition to being a member of Mike’s research team this year, I also intend to conduct my own independent study in the field. After college I plan to attend Law school in either New York City or Boson, leaving plenty of time to enjoy my passions of traveling and snowboarding.

Lab Research Assistant
Psychology Major
- Junior

I am a junior at Colby and I am majoring in psychology and minoring in chemistry. After taking sensation and perception with Professor Richardson my freshman year, I knew working in his lab would be a great experience. In addition to working as a research assistant, I also work as a rape crisis counselor and as a chemistry tutor. In my free time, I love to travel and to read.
