I am a senior Psychology major and Creative Writing minor from Palermo, Maine. I became curious about psychology after taking a course in high school and have deepened the interest with each course since. I am interested in the counseling field, particularly family and couples counseling, and plan to attend graduate school after Colby in order to pursue that career. I am also a facilitator for Hope’s Place with the Hospice Volunteers of Waterville in addition to my research at Colby, and love the work I am able to do there with grieving children. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, reading, photography, playing with my two guinea pigs, and archery. |

Originally from southern New Hampshire, but now living in northern Maine, I am a junior majoring in Psychology and Philosophy and minoring in Human Development. I joined the Word Nerd Herd (...the Colby Memory and Language Lab) in January 2010. I spent last summer working on an autism research project at Harvard, but I am thrilled to be back with Jen and the rest of the team. At Colby, I run International Coffee Hour, tutor Psychology 111 students, watch men's tennis matches, and facilitate Campus Conversations on Race. I spend my Tuesdays and Thursdays volunteering at the local preschool, assistant teaching third graders, and mentoring a second grader. I love baking, hiking, biking, yoga, watching Big Bang Theory, and learning how to do new things. |

I am a junior from Westbrook, ME majoring in psychology and
biology and minoring in math. I am really excited to be working in the
lab.Professor Coane's cognitive psychology course really got me
interested in how we store and retrieve information and memories. In Fall 2011, I will be doing field work in Africa. Some
of my favorite things are friends, family, summer camp, blizzards,
tennis, and swimming. |

I am a second year from River Forest, IL and I am loving working in the lab this year! I'm interested in how people learn and remember information and am very excited to discover more about psychology. Outside of the lab, I am a member of Colby's swimming and water polo teams as well as a member of the Colby Christian Fellowship. |
