What does the good life look like? What does it mean to live life well? We explore these questions through engagement with the lives and visions of founding figures from six diverse traditions of imagining a good life: the Buddha, the Hebrew Bible and Talmud, Jesus of Nazareth, Muhammad, John Stuart Mill, and Friedrich Nietzsche. Includes visits from contemporary individuals who understand their lives to be shaped by the traditions in question and an overnight retreat focused on the ‘spiritual autobiographies’ of students in the course.
