Author and conservative pundit Ann Coulter came to speak at Colby at the behest of the Colby Republicans. She spoke about the Supereme Court decision in the case of Dale vs. Boy Scouts of America.

We also brought conservative writer and speaker Dinesh D'souza to Colby. Dinesh D'Souza, the Robert and Karen Rishwain Fellow at the Hoover Institution, served as senior domestic policy analyst in the White House.

Former Colby Republicans president Peter Brush '03 was one of two dozen people chosen by the Young America's Foundation to to go Ronald Reagan's ranch out in California. Rancho del Cielo, or "Sky Ranch," was often referred to as the Western White House during his administration. Numerous heads of state toured the ranch with Reagan in his old Jeep.

Billy Thompson '03, another Colby Republicans alumnus and former president, helped organized Senator Susan Collins' (R-ME) campaign for reelection in 2002.
