|Communications Assistant |
Communications assistants gain valuable experience in many areas of higher ed communications, including photography archiving, event promotion, and media relations. Responsibilities include archiving photos and associated data entry, organizing and posting featured events via a web content management system, writing summaries of external news articles, proofreading, assisting with the delivery of publications around campus, and general communications duties as assigned.
Prior experience in a communications office, public relations firm, or another related professional environment strongly preferred. Strong writing skills, respect for accuracy, and attention to detail, and the ability to learn new software are essential.
