Supervises the front-of-the-house operations in one of the residence dining halls during the evening meal. Is responsible to attend the pre-service huddle, to ensure that all station signage is up-to-date and accurate, that all staff are in proper uniformwith a name tag, and that all staff have the requisite knowledge of the food items they are serving. Ensures that all allergy and food sensitivity signage is accurate and that serving staff is aware of any possible allergens in the items being prepared and served. Will work with the Cook IV and the hall manager to get ongoing counts throughout the meal to ensure any runouts are addressed in advance. Will be in the front of the house to greet guests and ensure that all stations remain adequately stocked.
A student will leverage his/her background and organizational skills to ensure the successful operation of the dining hall during the meal period.
