|Department:   Libraries Customer Service and Adm.
Provides welcoming, courteous and knowledgeable service to library users at the Service Desk at Miller Library. Tasks involve use of the libraries computer systems to check materials in and out, navigation and familiarity of the libraries Web pages and catalogs, knowledge of the libraries basic resources, provision of rudimentary technical support, and collection maintenance. Responsible for opening and closing the library, as well as overseeing the library in the absence of full-time staff. Other projects as assigned.
Essential qualities include punctuality and reliability. Accuracy and careful attention to detail are equally important as is the ability to work responsibly when supervisors are not present. Students must behave in a professional manner. Minimum of 6 hours per week; maximum of 10 hours. Must be willing to work nights and weekends.
