The Project Assistant reports to the Humanities/Interdisciplinary Studies Librarian. Projects may include but are not limited to, resource and instructional guide preparation, library and collection research, document creation, pulling materials from the stacks, data entry, promotional activities, and exhibit preparation.
Expertise or the ability and interest to gain needed expertise, in Microsoft Office, Google Apps and other technological tools are required. Much of the work is detail-oriented. Accuracy is essential. The student must be meticulous, thorough and highly responsible, with the initiative to work independently and meet deadlines. Knowledge of library research is desirable. Preference will be given to a student interested in or intend to major in a subject area covered by the librarian. 4-6 hours per week up to the final week of classes; maximum of 12 hours per week.
