General tasks include performing library searches, collecting questionnaires, and participating in laboratory group meetings, as well as conducting ongoing experiments in the laboratory, phone recruitment, memorization of interview procedure(s), administration of the procedure(s), and crunching all collected data. Specific responsibilities for the supervisory position include scheduling other research assistants in the laboratory, communicating the professor's instruction(s) in the laboratory, as well as maintaining a cohesive, friendly working environment for all students involved in the particular laboratory.
Completion of the Psychology core through PS 214. Must be reliable, mature, efficient and accurate. Friendly interpersonal style, experience with Mac and Windows (both software and hardware). Familiarity and/or comfort with the applications is more important than specific knowledge of each. The position is generally reserved for upper-level students who have at least one year experience in the particular laboratory.
