The student assistant will aid and report to the Asst. Dir. for Campus Life. The primary responsibilities will be to manage the administrative aspects of event planning at Colby, including managing the event registration process, liaising contracts between the Scheduling Office and Human Resources, fielding calls and emails from programming agencies and talent managers, and coordinating event logistics with SPB (Student Programming Board).
Knowledge of Colby event planning processes and resources. Possess communication skills to develop relationships with all support personnel and campus departments. Must attend SPB meetings as well as work closely with the SPB executive team and student club management. Ability to assist in analyzing prior event planning and financial success of post-events.
