Campus iBike Rental Program student will work 5 hours per week maintaining the 15 bike fleet. The student must conduct a weekly check-up on all bikes, to include: Inflating tire to proper air pressure, lubricating chains and gears, checking brakes, marking bike needing repair and setting them aside, purchasing and installing parts after consulting with DOE and steering committee (with reimbursement), writing up a weekly electronic bike report to be emailed to committee leader. This report to include the condition of all bikes and enumerate any additional repairs and their costs. If repairs are beyond student's knowledge, employed student must take bike(s) to repair shop after consulting with the DOE and steering committee.
Student must have knowledge of common bicycle repairs, be familiar with tools, and able to work alone. Ideally, the student will come equipped with his/her own tools.
