I hope everyone’s Spring Break is off to a great start!
Brittany Chin and Michael Loginoff are excited to announce that SGA Executive Board applications for the 2015-2016 academic year have officially opened! The deadline for applications is Sunday, April 5th at 9pm. Any applications e-mailed after that time will not be accepted – no exceptions.
Use this link to access the application.
Brittany and Mike will be reviewing potential team members to work with during next year. It is important to note that rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors can apply. However, applicants must be on campus for both semesters (being away for JanPlan is acceptable).
Aside from the President and Vice President of SGA, the Executive Board is currently comprised of the already-elected Treasurer and four appointed positions: Parliamentarian, Publicity Chair, Administrative Assistant, and Multicultural Affairs Chair. In the application, you can find job descriptions adapted from the SGA Constitution.
To apply for the Executive Board, please send your applications to Brittany Chin (email@example.com) AND Michael Loginoff (firstname.lastname@example.org).
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact Brittany or Mike.

Join us this TONIGHT, March 12th for the 2015-2016 SGA Election Debates at 8pm in Ostrove (Diamond)
Candidates for student body President and Vice President, as well as Treasurer, will be debating policy issues related to their campaigns. Questions will be provided by the Colby Echo, with time for student body questions near the end of the program.
Come out, be informed, and take an active roll in selecting your student government for the 2015-2016 academic school year.
This Saturday is the annual Alfond Youth Center Polar Bear Dip! Every year, groups of Colby students attend the Polar Bear Dip to help fundraise for the Alfond Youth Center, and to spend a short afternoon participating in a great event alongside the Waterville community.
This event helps fund the AYC’s Kids’ Kitchen, which serves over 40,000 hot meals a year to approximately 200 children on a daily basis. About 67% of the children receiving a meal after school say this is the last meal of the day for them.
We would love to send some Colby students over for the event! The plunge takes place at 11AM at the Oakland Snow Pond Swimming Area. It’s a great way to finish off the day after Doghead morning, or to participate in an alternative activity for the day.
