Homer Earl Capehart


Homer Earl Capehart was born in Algiers, Indiana, and was educated through public schooling. He served in World War I in the 12th Infantry. He was president of the Capehart Corporation, a manufacturing concern. In 1944 Capehart was elected to the U.S. Senate from Indiana where he served until 1962. He was an advocate for clean air legislation.
