Alan Kooi Simpson


Alan Kooi Simpson was born in Cody, Wyoming, and received his education from the University of Wyoming. Upon finishing law school, he joined the Wyoming bar and the United States Supreme Court bar. Soon after, in 1964, he was elected to the Wyoming House of Representatives where he served until 1977. He then became a United States Senator and worked on strengthening clean air legislation. He remained in the Senate until his retirement in 1996.
