Welcome Students!

What we do.

At Colby we understand and respect that no two experiences of a disability are the same. For this reason, we focus on the barriers you face whether in a classroom, dorm or dining hall, rather than your disability as the deficit. By focusing on barriers, we can simultaneously support you in identifying accommodations, assistive technology, strategies and programs that are most appropriate for you as a learner while also creating a more Inclusive Colby.

HOW DO I RECEIVE ACCOMMODATIONS?

Select the accommodations you require from the list below to learn more about what documentation is needed. Then, submit forms to accommodations@colby.edu and we will contact you to discuss next steps!

Student Rights and Responsibilities

As a college student with a disability, you have rights and responsibilities related to receiving accommodations and we encourage you to learn more about your rights by starting with the US Department of Education, Office of Civil Rights. By clicking here “Office of Civil Rights” you will be redirected to their information pertaining to post secondary education.
