More than 50 Colby students will exhibit their work at the Colby College
Museum of Art in Waterville April 11th through the 20th in the colleges
annual student art exhibition. An opening reception will be held Friday,
April 11th, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. and is open to the public. For the show, the students will exhibit works of varying media including
charcoal life drawings, prints and paintings, photographs, welded steel
and plaster sculptures and mixed media. The sculpture work ranges in scale
from small objects to pieces that are several feet high or wide. The
exhibition is juried by members of Colbys studio art faculty and
any piece completed as coursework in a studio art class is eligible. Colby museum hours are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
