See a Show
Theater and Dance welcomes you to a season that holds a mirror up to nature and explores the question of what it means to be human. We present for your pleasure a stunning array of theatrical and dance offerings ranging from the classical to the contemporary, with an emphasis on original works. In addition to this showcase for Colby's best and brightest talents, our professional touring shows and speakers series will delight you with both depth and breadth. Be sure to join us at the beginning of the year as we kick off the season with a madcap dash: 24-Hour Theater. You won't want to miss a minute! Beginning this year, admission to all Theater and Dance sponsored events is free unless otherwise indicated. Seating is by general admission on a first-come, first-served basis. For events in Strider Theater, house doors typically open 30 minutes prior to the announced curtain time and for the Cellar Theater, 15 minutes before the show begins. Arrive early to insure good seating as shows are often filled to capacity. Please Note: The department of Theater and Dance reserves the right to refuse admission after the performance has begun. Call (207) 859-4535 or (207) 859-4520 for information. THEATER INFORMATION Strider Theater is an intimate proscenium style theater seating 262 with main floor and balcony seating. The Cellar Theater is a flexible "black box" style theater and seats approximately 50 depending on the configuration. Strider Theater has access for the physically challenged, and wheelchair seating is available. Go to the 2007/2008 Production Season
