Visiting Assistant Professor Thomas Oldham will take part in an American Tragic Figure Roundtable at Portland Stage Company, accompanying the May 17th performance of Ayad Akhtar’s Disgraced. This talk is a panel discussion examining Disgraced‘s Amir against the backdrop of other Tragic American characters (e.g. Willy Loman, Blanche DuBois, and Walter Younger). Tom, along with other Maine theater scholars, will join the Literary Manager of Portland Stage for a lively conversation and audience Q&A.
