Help the Rugby team raise their goal of $1,000 for the Mid-Maine Homeless Shelter.  Here is what Jade Enright, a captain of the Rugby team, had to say about their fundraising efforts:

“The weekend of October 6th, Colby rugby has organized charity games in order to support the Mid-Maine Homeless shelter (MMHS). We chose to donate to this organization because the shelter is a critical resource to homeless and displaced persons in Central Maine. A MMHS shelter is established in Waterville, providing emergency food and shelter to those in need. This is an incredibly important organization in our local community and the rugby team is working hard to further the shelter’s efforts and support its mission. In order to raise money, we have been selling raffle tickets and will continue to do so throughout the games on Saturday. Prizes include a Colby Bookstore basket, snack basket, tea basket donated by Selah Tea, movie basket, set of pub glasses, and gift cards to Jorgensons, Mainleys and the Spa. The women’s team will be playing Bates at 11am and the men’s team will be playing UMO at 3pm. Help us fight homelessness in Maine and achieve our goal of donating $1,000 to the MMHS!”
