Kidz b Kidz Colby (KbK Colby) focuses on providing younger students a way to give back to other children through involvement in KbK Colby art events at Educare Central Maine, a local high quality learning and development center for children birth to age five, and the Colby Museum of Art. By simply drawing a picture at KbK Colby art events, college and young students can have the power to make a difference in another child’s life. The artwork is later transformed into “products with purpose,” including cookies, t-shirts, and institutional products. Proceeds from these unique products foster healing and comfort in a child’s hospital experience and support medical research. KbK Colby inspires students by teaching compassion, leadership, social responsibility as well as sustainability through the universal language of art.
