Team History

Over the last four years, the Colby Waterpolo program has deceloped from a small moribund group to a thriving team with over 20 committed members. Hard work from this year's Seniors made the transition from a 1-7 record four years ago to a 9-2 record last year possible.

The 1997 fall season was topped at the North Atlantic Conference Championships where Colby fell one goal short of advancing to the Collegiate Club National Championships (see an article which appeared in the Colby Echo).

Even though the dynamic class of 1998 won't be around to play waterpolo next year, the team still looks to improve. 2-meter star Scott Bixby '01 claimed Colby's first title of league MVP this year (see League Honors), and Captains Kris "Floyd" Skrzycki '99 and Jeremy Greenfield '01 should lead the team to another impressive season.
