"The Golden Bear of Great Pond" Heir to the Throne
Still feeling his way around the Government Department, Nicklaus has nontheless already made quite an impression on the second floor of Miller Library and is well on his way to filling the highly revered paw-prints of his great, great uncle, Tyler. He was named for the original Golden Bear, Jack Nicklaus, but seems to enjoy the time he spends out in the "rough" considerably more than does his namesake . . .
He has office hours most of the day, every day in either of his two offices, Miller 257 or Miller 236, as he has a rather consistently light teaching load. He has an open door policy, however, and invites friends and students to come by anytime and scratch his ears.
