Summer and Fall Issues of the Maine Arts Journal – Articles by Editor Véronique Plesch and by Maggie Libby

The Fall 2020 issue of the Maine Arts Journal contains articles by two members of the Colby community. Professor of Art Véronique Plesch (one of the journal’s editors) wrote the introduction to the issue—Where Are We? You Are Here/Now—as well as the article “Conversation with Abby Shahn.” Artist Maggie Libby ’81, Colby’s curator of digital discovery and engagement, also has an essay in the journal that includes images of her recent paintings.

In the Summer 2020 issue of the Maine Arts Journal, Art in a Time of Pandemic and Quarantine, Plesch wrote the introduction as well as two articles: “Plague Art? An Art Historian’s Musings on Pandemics” and “Teaching in a Time of Confinement” on her experience teaching remotely last spring at Colby.

Best wishes from the Editors: Natasha Mayers, Nora Tryon, Kathy Weinberg, Véronique Plesch, Betsy Sholl (poetry editor), and Colby interns Sabina Garibovic and Andrew Macdonald
