Sheehan publishes in A Companion to American Art

In spring 2015, Blackwell Press released A Companion to American Art, an edited volume featuring 35 newly-commissioned essays by leading scholars that explore the methodology, historiography, and current state of the field of American art history. This major publication in the field was edited by John Davis (Smith College), Jennifer A. Greenhill (USC), and Jason D. LaFountain (Art Institute of Chicago). Associate Professor and Chair of Art, Tanya Sheehan, contributed an essay to the volume titled, “A Time and a Place: Rethinking Race in American Art History.” More information on this book, including the table of contents, is availble here.
