On Tuesday, April 15, Printmaker Susan Groce will present slides and a lecture on her work at 4:30 in room 154 of the Bixler Building.

Known nationally for her prints and large-scale drawings of labyrinthian spaces, Susan Groce has taught at the University of Maine at Orono since 1979. She has held the rank of Professor of Art since 1992 and during the years 2001-2002 held the University of Maine System Trustee Professorship. She has been a Visiting Artist at locations in Australia, Scotland, England, Nova Scotia and in various school in American such as Rhode Island School of Design and the Philadelphia College of Art and Design.

Groce received her BFA in Art Education and Printmaking from the University of Arizona and her MFA in Printmaking/Drawing from the University of Michigan. She has exhibited in numerous national and international print and drawing shows, and as an accomplished fiddle player, has appeared on five recordings with other Maine based recording artists.
