Zhang ’16 to intern at National Gallery of Art

Art major Jacob Zhang ’16 has been awarded a summer internship at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC under the direction of Kim Schenck, Head of Paper Conservation. He will be working in collaboration with conservation scientists and curators to investigate the materials and techniques used to create works of art in the NGA’s collections. Jacob is keen to enter the field of art conversation, in which research on materials informs treatment decisions and adds to our understanding of the artist’s creative process.
