Our students encounter moving images of all types from a variety of time periods and global contexts.
Each year, internationally renowned filmmakers like Todd Haynes and Christine Vachon (pictured), Barbara Hammer, Caveh Zahedi, Kelly Reichardt, and Peter Hutton present their work and meet with Colby students.
Colby Cinema Studies collaborates with local and regional arts institutions to foster a culture of critical engagement with media.
