Phi Beta Kappa
Phi Beta Kappa is the nation’s oldest and most respected undergraduate honor society.
The Colby College chapter—Beta of Maine—was chartered in 1896 and has, every year since, elected to membership in the society many of Colby’s most engaged and outstanding students.

Over the years, our chapter has played a larger role in Colby’s community of scholars, giving awards to students demonstrating the highest levels of achievement, providing funds for scholarly activities, and sponsoring events that strengthen the intellectual atmosphere of the College.
The officers of Phi Beta Kappa’s Beta Chapter of Maine encourage Colbians past and present to support our mission or to avail yourselves of the opportunities we provide.
