Associate Professor of Chemistry, Kevin Rice, was looking for new ways to engage with his students in a way that would leave significant class time for active discussion among his students. Working with Academic ITS as a FIT fellow, Kevin decided to implement a flipped classroom where he would pre-record his lectures. Before each class, students would view these materials at a pace suitable for them; this prepared students for discussions, presentations, or projects in which they would engage during class time.
