Straightforward Access
Applying to Colby is easy. There are no application fees to submit, supplements to complete, or additional essays to write. As a test optional institution, you can choose whether or not you submit your standardized test scores with your application (and if you do, you may self-report your results). Each applicant is evaluated as an individual—within the context of his or her background.
Funded Experiences
Here, you can pursue research, internships, and off-campus study around the world. Programs such as CAPS, Presidential Scholars, and Bunche Scholars provide the opportunity for funding these experiences. Additionally, our DavisConnects program guarantees access to at least one global experience for all students, regardless of their ability to pay.
Support for Success
Colby invests in attracting talented students and in making certain that they receive the mentoring, resources, and opportunities to help ensure a lifelong success.
Our Commitment to Access
Through the Colby Commitment, we pledge to meet 100 percent of each admitted student’s demonstrated financial need without loans. For the Class of 2023, more than 95 percent of families with an income of $200,000 or less qualified for financial aid.
If your family has a total income of $65,000 or less and has assets typical of this income range, we’ve ensured they will have a parent or guardian contribution of $0.
Introducing the Fair Shot Fund
For families earning up to $150,000 with assets typical of that range, our Fair Shot Fund now ensures your parent or guardian contribution will be capped at $15,000 — which may make Colby cost less for you than any other four-year college or university.
