School Counselor Information

The Colby College Office of Admissions and Financial Aid fully supports the administrative and pedagogical accommodations your school may make when navigating your community through this crisis. Examples include pass/fail marking, narrative evaluations, or the suspension of grading all together. We recognize that this is a stressful time for your community, so please let us know if your school encounters any obstacles when submitting paperwork for your college-bound students.

We understand that disruptions to your school’s learning pathways may significantly alter the academic or extracurricular activities your students would normally pursue. Though students’ college applications will likely look different than they have in the past, Colby remains committed to ensuring the most talented students from all backgrounds have access to the best possible education as part of our holistic review.

In response to the evolving COVID-19 pandemic, Colby has cancelled all admissions events including campus tours, information sessions, and group visits. The Admitted Students Program and admissions day visits for the Class of 2024 have also been cancelled. We regret we will not have the opportunity to welcome you to campus this spring, but we look forward to sharing more information about Colby with you in the weeks and months ahead. Should you have any questions in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to contact us at admissions@colby.edu.
