Borthwick welcomes artist Jo Israelson
In spring 2015, Assistant Professor Bradley Borthwick and his students in Sculpture II will welcome to campus the visual artist Jo Israelson. Israelson begins her residency at Colby on March 30 and will facilitate an artist book project on Maine migration through April. Students in Professor David Freidenreich’s Religious Studies course on Jews in Maine are contributing research to the artist books. The completed project will be on display at the Maine Jewish Museum / Etz Chaim Synagogue in Portland.
Israelson’s visit to Colby is supported by the Center for the Arts and Humanities and contributes to the center’s programming for the “migrations” theme.
