Garry Mitchell show at ICON

The first exhibition for 2017 at ICON Contemporary Art will be new work by gallery artist Garry Mitchell. A long-time member of the Colby College art faculty, Mitchell will be showing a collection of both larger and small acrylic on canvas or panel paintings and a group of framed mono-types. His constantly evolving abstract paintings, full of color and energy have been featured at a number of solos shows at ICON over the past 15 years.

The Garry Mitchell show opens with a reception for the artist on Saturday, April 29 from 4 to 6pm. ICON Contemporary Art is located at 19 Mason St. in Brunswick, Maine.  Gallery hours are weekdays 1-5pm and Saturdays 1-4pm.  The show continues to May 27.  For more information call director Duane Paluska at (207) 725-8157.
