Jane Rohrbach
On March 20, at 4:30 pm, photographer Jane Rohrbach will discuss her work in a talk entitled “Travels with a Nature Photographer.” During her talk, Ms. Rohrbach will show slides and copies of her photographic work.
Jane Rohrbach has been in love with photography ever since when, at age twelve, she accompanied her father on a business trip and was asked by her eighth-grade teacher to make up for the missed time in class by preparing a travelogue.
Quoting Rachel Carson’s belief that “Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that endure as long as life lasts.” Jane Rohrbach used color photography as a medium that allows her to capture some of nature’s beauty. Her goal is “to create simple, peaceful images that will appeal to a wide range of individuals.”
A resident of Robesonia, PA, Jane Rohrbach is a member of the Berks Camera Club, the Berks Art Council and the Berks Art Alliance. Her work has been exhibited at several venues in both Pennsylvania and Maine.
