New position in contemporary art history
The Department of Art at Colby College invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Contemporary Art History. This two-year position will begin September 2015, with the possibility of renewal. Teaching load of five courses per year includes contributions to introductory surveys of art history, upper-division courses in contemporary art, and advanced seminars. A completed Ph.D. is required by the start of employment. Applicants must have teaching experience at the college level and a research agenda to complement the existing strengths of the department. Ideal candidates would develop new course offerings in global and new media art history, enrich the college’s interdisciplinary networks, and engage with the Colby College Museum of Art.
